Strategy and long-term relationships the real winners at the NSW Tourism Awards

Since 2015, DMS has been working with Destination Barrington Coast (Mid-Coast Council) and Mudgee Region Tourism, putting in place and building on the foundations for success.

This year’s NSW Tourism Awards recognised the value of great strategy and adopting a sustainable approach to elevate the awareness and appeal of previously little-known destinations.

It all starts with a clear vision, an outstanding brand and a visitor-centric and future-focused approach to sustainably grow the visitor economy. With the foundations set in place, destination marketing campaigns deliver in spades, especially when they respond to the motivations and desires of those who you’d like to welcome.

Our sincere congratulations to the hard-working teams at Destination Barrington Coast and Mudgee Region Tourism who have taken well-deserved honours in the Local Government and Tourism and Marketing categories.

A shout out to the outstanding team at Port Macquarie-Hastings Council too, who are shifting gears to sustainably grow their visitor economy. With a newly created place brand and a proactive industry network, there’s no wonder they were rewarded with this year’s Judges Tourism Star Award.
