The Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF) involves six member countries within the Asia Pacific: Indonesia, Philippines, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Malaysia. A core initiative has been to support and promote conservation of sensitive, high-value marine environments through enabling sustainable livelihoods, including sustainable marine tourism. DMS had the most amazing experience working with the CTI-CFF through projects funded by our friends at WWF and Australian Aid. We simply loved working with local communities to build sustainable livelihoods for the future while maintaining their cultural values and sense of place.
